Part 1: when and how do you start a risk analysis?
1. A risk analysis is legally required (Well-being at Work Act). Every employer is therefore obliged to focus on preventing dangerous work situations.
2. A risk analysis is a must at the following moments:
- Introduction of new working methods/equipment/materials/…
- Modification of existing working methods/equipment/materials/…
- Employment of new workers
- After an incident or accident
3. Complicated methods are not strictly necessary; with the necessary common sense you already get far. For example: determining the possible consequences of a dangerous situation? Start with the worst imaginable and end with the smaller risks.
