Years ago I was an advisor in a nursing home and there they had a problem in the kitchen. In summer it got really terribly hot there.
The staff's solution: open the door now and then!
WRONG! Through such an open door, all kinds of insects can after all fly inside.
So I advised the director to take drastic measures: a top cooling system on the roof.
Not a good idea!
"The director practically pulled me across his desk," says Bakker. "That solution was far too expensive: by his own account he might as well close up shop then."
Conclusion
Source control is not possible in this case
Instead, we opted for a pragmatic, organisational solution.
Because how many days a year is it really this terribly hot?
People can, for example, also simply start working a bit earlier.
