Telehandler bale clamp
He turned out to have six broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a bruised liver and possibly more internal injuries.
The driver slipped and ended up between the clamps of the forklift that was removing the bales from his trailer. At that exact moment, the forklift operator closed the clamps. The victim became trapped between a clamp and the grass bale.
Two ambulances and a trauma helicopter came to provide first aid. The victim was rushed to hospital. He turned out to have six broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a bruised liver and possibly more internal injuries.
The SZW Inspectorate is investigating the accident.
