WHAT DOES THIS ASBESTOS REMOVAL REFRESHER FOR WORKERS COVER?
The use of asbestos has been banned for a long time, yet many buildings still contain asbestos.
Since 16 March 2006, a Royal Decree has been in force requiring everyone who comes into sporadic or regular contact with asbestos to follow appropriate training.
After following the asbestos demolition and removal training (32h), an annual 8-hour refresher is mandatory.
The 8-hour asbestos removal refresher course provides workers with the necessary refresher on prevention and safety.

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?
Only workers who have followed the basic training with annual refresher may carry out the demolition and removal of asbestos or asbestos-containing materials.
The basic training lasts at least 32 hours and the annual refresher 8 hours.
To provide this training and refresher, the employer calls on an organisation external to the company.
For workers who exclusively carry out simple handling, the training may be limited to 8 hours and need not contain the regulations on the demolition and removal of asbestos or asbestos-containing materials.
