How do you safely fell a (small) tree?
WHAT DOES THIS BASIC CHAINSAW FELLING TECHNIQUES TRAINING COVER?
With the chainsaw in hand and the various cuts mastered, it is time for the next step.
We are going to fell trees with a trunk up to 45 cm in diameter.
Besides upright trees, we also train on safely felling leaning or hung-up trees. We do this using aids such as wedges, a felling lever or a hand winch.
In this practical training, you fell your first trees yourself with the chainsaw!

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?
Any workstation where work equipment is used, where motor vehicles, cranes, overhead cranes, lifting devices of any kind, or machines that set dangerous installations or devices in motion are operated, or where service weapons are carried, is considered a safety function, insofar as the use of that work equipment, the operation of those machines and installations or the carrying of those weapons may endanger the safety and health of other workers of the company or of external companies. Workers who perform a safety function must hold a certificate of medical fitness. (Code, book I, title 4)
