MIG/MAG welding

MIG/MAG welding training: learn this high-output semi-automatic process for steel, stainless steel and aluminium, with personal guidance.

Good MIG/MAG welders are in high demand!

WHAT DOES THIS MIG/MAG WELDING TRAINING COVER?

MIG/MAG welding is an art that requires mastering a very specific process.

In practice, the MIG/MAG welding technique is widely used for welding steel (MAG) and stainless steel and aluminium (MIG).

In MIG/MAG welding the shielding gas is supplied separately from the electrode. The electrode here is a reel that continuously feeds filler wire, which is why it is also called semi-automatic welding.

The great advantage of the MIG/MAG process is its high output thanks to partial automation.

  • Safety and responsibilities
  • Material behaviour
  • Constructions, execution and weld defects
  • Setting up the welding equipment
  • Welding positions
    • Flat welding (PA)
    • Horizontal fillet weld (PB)
    • Horizontal and vertical welding (PC)
  • Application: steel, stainless steel, aluminium

This training teaches you the essentials of MIG/MAG welding in a hands-on way. No welding experience yet? Take our welding techniques training to learn the basic techniques. Or choose one of our other specific courses: stainless steel welding, steel welding or TIG welding.

ACTIONS, NOT WORDS!

  • One or more days of tailored hands-on training
  • Lots of experience (1 day) / little experience (2 days) / no experience (3 to 5 days)
  • 100% hands-on training
  • Every participant receives a certificate of attendance

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between MIG and MAG?

The difference lies in the shielding gas: MIG uses an inert gas (for stainless steel and aluminium), MAG an active gas (for steel).

Who is this training for?

For anyone who wants to learn to weld quickly and efficiently with a semi-automatic machine. Both beginners and advanced welders are welcome.

Do I receive a certificate?

Every participant receives a certificate of attendance. The duration depends on your experience (1 to 5 days).
