WHAT DO YOU GET IN THIS WORKING AT HEIGHT FIXED SCAFFOLDING TRAINING?

This training is aimed both at workers who use or assemble the fixed scaffolding.

You learn to recognise all possible dangers of the scaffolding, assess them and then act appropriately.

The training covers all requirements of the Royal Decree of 2005 concerning the use of work equipment for temporary work at height.

You not only learn to safely use a fixed scaffolding, after this training you also assemble it in practice.

MODULE 1: USER

  • Safety and responsibilities regarding scaffolding
    • Risks and order of preventive measures
    • PPE and personal fall protection
  • Types of scaffolding, material choice and quality characteristics
    • Permissible load
  • Inspection before use
    • Instructions from the competent person
    • Scaffolding card and certificate of conformity
    • LMRA and checklist
    • Ground surface and stability

MODULE 2: ASSEMBLER

  • Assembly, alteration and dismantling of a fixed mobile scaffolding

    • Recessed anchoring system
  • Standard scaffolding: instructions for use and assembly diagram
  • Deviation from the standard: calculation note and assembly plan (drawn up by a competent person)

  • A full-day training lasts 7 hours by default, unless stated otherwise

USER

“The employer who employs workers who will work on a scaffolding ensures that these workers receive training that enables them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for carrying out their tasks. This training relates in particular to:

the measures for the prevention of the risks of persons or objects falling
the safety measures in case of changing weather conditions that could impair the safety of the scaffolding concerned
the conditions regarding the permissible load

ASSEMBLER

“The employer who employs workers who will take part in the assembly, dismantling or alteration of a scaffolding ensures that these workers receive training that enables them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for carrying out their tasks. This training relates in particular to:

  • the understanding of the assembly, dismantling or alteration diagram of the scaffolding concerned
  • the safe assembly, dismantling or alteration of the scaffolding concerned
  • the measures referred to in § 1, second paragraph
  • any other risk that the assembly, dismantling or alteration work may entail.”
