ISO 45001. What's new? Part 1
1. Uniform structure, less work
From now on, the structure becomes the same for all management system standards. Through the High Level Structure, you can adopt up to half of the chapters from other ISO standards. The other half consists of specific additions.
2. Identifying developments
You must identify the most important internal and external developments. In addition, the related risks and opportunities for the organisation and the objectives will be assessed and taken into account.
3. Relevant stakeholders
The organisation must gain insight into the needs and expectations of all relevant stakeholders.
4. Leadership
The requirements of the OH&S management system must be embedded in the business strategy and the business processes. They must help enable the management system to achieve the intended results.
5. Commitment to risk management
In addition to the already known requirements, the policy must also contain a commitment to risk management. This must take the prevention hierarchy into account. Furthermore, the policy statement must indicate which employees participate.
