Working near electrical installations is never without risks!
Almost every day, minor and major electrical workplace accidents occur.
That is why the law provides for specific training for anyone working near electrical installations.
This course is aimed at workers without prior electrical knowledge.

- Basic electrical concepts
- Low voltage
- Switching and protection equipment
- Use of work equipment and required PPE

ACTIONS, NOT WORDS!
- Theoretical introduction with applied practical exercises and a test
- This training is part of the mandatory knowledge for the employer to issue a BA4 authorisation declaration
- Download an example authorisation declaration here (NL / FR / EN)
- The employer remains responsible for the internal situational guidelines based on the risk analysis
WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?
The competence of persons designated by the code BA4 or BA5 is granted to workers by the employer and recorded in a document that clearly defines for which work and which electrical installations the competence applies (RD 25-04-2004, art. 3.2).
The employer ensures the necessary training of workers and provides the necessary instructions to avoid the risks associated with the use, operation and work on the electrical installation, taking into account the tasks assigned to these workers (Code, book III, title 2).
