Bring your electrical installations into compliance with the new AREI/RGIE!

WHAT DO THE AREI/RGIE UPDATES MEAN FOR YOU?

The new AREI 2020 was published on 28 October 2019 in the Belgian Official Gazette and comes into force on 1 June 2020. From this date, all electrical installations must comply with the new AREI (General Regulation on Electrical Installations).

From 01/06/2023, a few new AREI rules still apply to domestic electrical installations.

The restructuring of the AREI 2020 has meant that the old regulation is now divided into 3 books, each subdivided into parts, chapters, sections and subsections:

Book 1: Low-voltage and extra-low-voltage installations. Book 2: High-voltage installations. Book 3: Installations for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy.

After following this information session, you are aware of all the changes to the AREI.
