WHAT DO YOU GET IN THIS SAFETY TRAINING FOR OPERATIONAL SUPERVISORS (VCA-VOL)?
VCA stands for stands for Safety, Health and Environment Checklist Contractors and is considered a general standard for safety.
In the VCA-VOL course, you receive as a supervisor a theoretical overview of the various domains of the well-being act.
VCA TRAINING
This training is called the VCA vol and targets supervisors specifically. This
VCA training
is mainly theoretical in nature. In terms of content, the following topics are covered: safety and the responsibilities of the employer, the codex and well-being act, accident prevention, risk analysis, giving instructions and applying procedures, ergonomics, work permits, working with hazardous products, what to do in case of fire and explosion risk, working safely with machines and electricity, and securing loads and working safely at heights. The VCA vol is a must for every supervisor who wants to be able to guide their team optimally and contribute actively to everyone's safety at work.
VCA EXAM
We don't need to tell you that safety is the highest good at work. This fact is increasingly being made official. The words VCA certificate are not unfamiliar to most employers and employees. When, as an employer or temp agency, you devote attention to potential employees obtaining a VCA certificate, that says something about your organization or company. You value safety and, of course, you want to meet the official safety requirements at both national and international level. By following a VCA training, you not only learn what safety standards are required by the authorities, but you also expand your already existing knowledge in the field of safety.
VCA CERTIFICATE
We are not surprised when employees obtain a VCA training or a VCA certificate. When supervisors want to obtain a VCA certificate, there may be people who wonder why this would be necessary. Yet obtaining a VCA certificate is also important for supervisors. As an employer or as someone responsible for a team, you may not be on the work floor yourself, but it is nonetheless important that you have the necessary knowledge in the field of safety yourself. This way, you become more aware of the dangers that workers face on a daily basis. In this way, you can better empathize with their work situation and ensure that the work floor becomes even safer.
The VCA-VOL training covers the same themes as the VCA-basic training. The big difference lies in the deepening and approach of the legislation from the perspective of the supervisor. In addition to the various dangers and risks, especially also covered are your tasks and responsibility as a supervisor and the possibilities to influence safety.
As a supervisor, you indeed have specific responsibilities within the framework of the hierarchical line and you had best take those assignments seriously. Indeed, you not only put the theoretical prevention concept into practice, you are also responsible if something goes wrong or if you have not exercised your authority.
We conclude the training day with the official VCA-VOL exam, administered by an independent recognized VCA exam center.
With a VCA-VOL diploma you prove as a supervisor that you know the obligations in the area of safety.
