WHAT DO YOU GET IN THIS WORKING AT HEIGHT USER FIXED SCAFFOLD TRAINING?

This training is aimed at workers who use a pre-assembled erected scaffold.

We cover all the risks of working on a fixed scaffold as well as the dangers of falling objects for your colleagues.

Also important are the permissible load and changing weather conditions.

The training covers all requirements of the Royal Decree of 2005 applied in practice.

As a bonus, you also get the right instructions to work safely with ladders!

After this training, you will no longer step onto unsafely assembled scaffolds!

MODULE 1: USER

  • Safety and responsibilities on fixed scaffolds
    • Risks and order of preventive measures
    • PPE and personal fall protection
  • Types of mobile scaffolds, material choice and quality features
    • Permissible load
  • Inspection before use
    • Instructions from the authorized person
    • Scaffold card and certificate of conformity
    • LMRA and checklist
    • Ground surface and stability
  • Prevention of falling persons and objects
  • Influence of changing weather conditions
    • Extreme cold or heat
    • Rain, snow and black ice
    • Wind, thunderstorm and lightning
  • Moving and stabilizing the scaffold
  • EXTRA: safe use of ladders

  • A full-day training lasts 7 hours as standard, unless otherwise stated
  • Theoretical introduction (30%) with many practical exercises (70%)

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?

“The employer who employs workers who will work on a scaffold ensures that these workers receive training that enables them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the performance of their tasks. This training relates in particular to:

the measures for the prevention of the risks of persons or objects falling
the safety measures in changing weather conditions that could compromise the safety of the scaffold concerned
the conditions regarding permissible load” . (Codex book IV, title 5)
