WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS AV-021 SCAFFOLD BUILDER TRAINING?
For the AV-021 scaffold builder diploma, you have come to the right place at Normec Praxis!
The IS diplomas are essential in the petrochemical industry and port companies.
The training can take place at your premises or in one of our partner centres in Flanders.
The number of training days depends on your experience and competencies.
If you pass, you receive the official AV-021 diploma!
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 18 years old
- Identification possible by means of an identity card, passport or driving licence
- Have a declaration of medical fitness
- The participant masters the language of the examinations

OBJECTIVE
Gain practical experience and acquire knowledge of safety aspects, stability and plan reading.
ACTIONS, NOT WORDS!
- A full day of training lasts 7 hours by default, unless otherwise stated
- Theoretical introduction (30%) with many practical exercises (70%)
- Theory exam
- Practical exam
- Every participant who passes receives the Besacc-VCA diploma AV-021: scaffold builder
- The diploma is personal and states the high-risk task for which the participant passed
- The diploma is valid for 10 years and is registered online at http://besacc.epyc.eu/diploma

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?
“The employer who employs workers who will work on a scaffold ensures that these workers receive training that enables them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the performance of their tasks. This training relates in particular to:
- the measures for the prevention of the risks of persons or objects falling
- the safety measures in the event of changing weather conditions that could compromise the safety of the scaffold concerned
- the conditions regarding the permissible load”. (Codex book IV, title 5)
