Obtain your IS-081 certificate working with independent (self-contained and non-self-contained) respiratory protection
WHAT DO YOU GET IN THIS IS-081 TRAINING?
For the IS-081 diploma working with independent (self-contained and non-self-contained) respiratory protection you have come to the right place at Normec Praxis!
The IS diplomas are essential in the petrochemical industry and port companies.
Delivered at one of our partner centres in Flanders.
The number of training days depends on your experience and competencies.
TARGET GROUP
This training is intended for employees who work in an environment with a low oxygen concentration and/or with high concentrations of hazardous substances in the ambient air.
This can occur at company sites, installations, workplaces or confined spaces.
Independent self-contained respiratory protection
- Breathing air is supplied in a compressed air cylinder worn by the employee
- The employee can move freely in the space
- Due to the limited capacity of the compressed air cylinder, the operating time is limited
Independent non-self-contained respiratory protection
- Breathing air is supplied via a line connected to a compressor
- The employee can move less freely in the space
- The usage time is much longer.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a certificate of medical fitness
- The participant has sufficient command of the Dutch language
- No facial hair
- Normec Praxis pursues an active equal-opportunities policy. Our exams are open to everyone who meets the requirements, regardless of their gender, skin colour or religion
